Net ennergy ratio is a concept used in energy economics that refers to the difference between the energy expended to harvest an energy source and the amount of energy gained from that harvest.

 

At the moment, the US is using corn ethynol at a 1.3 net energy ratio, but when using the technology that we would, the yield would be higher.
